CEPSA is an expanding, fully integrated oil & gas company based in Madrid with production operations in Algeria and Colombia, and exploration activities in Egypt and Peru.

As part of our plans for continuing expansion, we now wish to appoint a Development & Exploitation Engineer who will validate and guarantee the exploitation systems used worldwide in our oil & gas fields to ensure that the systems used are the most adequate for the development of these fields.

Reporting to the Head of Operations Technology, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Define, plan and manage exploitation studies to the highest industry standards thereby ensuring effective communication of reports and forecasts to Head Office and the Fields.
• Contribute to the definition of the main technical Exploitation Engineering trends within the Group.
• Validate testing, monitoring, workover operations and well data acquisition to ensure comprehension by other disciplines.
• Propose and validate the necessary work needed to continue the development of the assets, and proposing the most appropriate artificial lift systems to be used in each case.
• Contribute to development of the fields within the framework of integrated projects, and to propose and guarantee original solutions to complex issues
• Ensure and implement the latest technology in exploitation systems.
• Issue recommendations to people in charge of studies and to interpreters, and maintain the quality of analogue knowledge.

• ENSPM or a good Engineering or Reservoir Engineering degree.
• At least 10 years experience in oil & gas exploitation in different global locations.
• Very good knowledge of exploitation software and models.
• Good knowledge of exploitation techniques and tools, and of artificial lift systems.
• Good knowledge of related Geoscience disciplines.
