Lead Engineer (m/f)

Strengthen our engineering team in Baden, Switzerland, with your expertise and experience in arrangement, piping and valves of combined cycle power plants.

Your tasks: Represent your engineering scope of supply and services in project teams • Take over projects from the offer team • Conduct start-up meetings • Review and comment on project documentation, incl. scope of supply, division of work, “delta list”, technical and commercial contract documentation, risk review • Provide contract reviews, risk sheets, design review needs, concept needs and input for the system time schedule • Manage risks of equipment in your scope • Cooperate with procurement to prepare the Engineering/Procurement Plan (EPP) • Support the direct manager with capacity planning and subsequent staffing • Lead the project team and report to the Project Engineering Manager and Line Manager • Ensure communication within your team and with other project teams • Coordinate with other project lead engineers • Ensure the fulfillment of design, quality and functionality at best cost and according to project and contractual requirements • Identify, plan and conduct design reviews, the design freeze and ensure that corrective actions are completed on time • Ensure that technical tender analysis includes analyses of completeness, technical ability, risks, prices and recommendations • Prepare and follow up on technical aspects of variation orders • Ensure on-time delivery of material by active follow-up • Organize feedback of experiences into the Experience Response System • Update action item lists • Create the as-built documentation, compile the project documentation and organize archiving of all relevant documents

Your profile: Engineering degree in a relevant field or significant relevant work experience • Good communication skills in English and ideally another European language (German/French) • Experience in the execution of projects in a multicultural environment advantageous • In-depth knowledge of all interdisciplinary engineering activities (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C) incl. work flow, critical milestones as well as critical input and output documents and drawings • Leadership experience in the execution of large size projects (~35.000 piping man-hours, global team size >25) • Hands-on experience in the creation of plant maintenance and accessibility concepts • Ability to lead a team and develop suitable assumptions at an early stage • Expertise in conducting design reviews during basic and detailed engineering stages • Ability to execute projects with tight budgets and schedules with teams comprising varying experience and age levels • Skilled motivator, esp. in difficult and challenging situations • Understanding of the workflow of PDMS/COMOS and ability to operate PDMS/Navisworks in full range desirable • Willingness to travel for world-wide meetings/assignments
