The Challenge DSM Shared Financial Service Center (SFSC) is a service department belonging to DSM Business Support, providing financial services to the DSM Business Groups and DSM Service Units regarding credit management risks. Part of the SFSC is the Credit Risk Assessment Center (CRAC), which analyzes and assesses the end-customers' creditworthiness. Within this department, we are looking for a Credit Risk Assessment Officer. As DSM has adapted a corporate policy of non-insurance, you operate in an area of tension and have to find a balance between maximizing sales on the one hand and minimizing (financial) risk on the other hand. The great diversity in Business Groups and its segments in a worldwide environment give an extra dimension to the operations. Your tasks consist of:
• Gathering information from various sources and assessing the creditworthiness of DSM's customers by setting risk categories and advising on credit limits per customer. • You will also maintain such by means of cyclical reviewing;visiting customers if necessary for assessment; maintaining regular contacts with several stakeholders such as sales managers, commercial assistants, agents, controllers etc on a global scale as well as with internationally located Credit Risk colleagues;developing country-specific knowledge on financial, economical and political issues.

The Ideal You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Economics or a Master's degree in Business Economics with at least 3-5 years experience in a credit risk assessment environment. You like to work in an international, multicultural and challenging B2B environment. You understand financial concepts, reporting and consolidation tools and your capability of financial analysis is high. You have experience working with multinationals and understand matrix organisations. You are flexible, keen to learn new things and adaptive to changing and sometimes stressful situations. You build relationships naturally and can easily express yourself and your ideas in English (both verbal and written) and preferably in another language like Dutch, French, Spainish or Italian.
