As an Electrical Engineer, you will actively take part in the consolidation and the renovation of the electrical distribution network of CERN. You will be the driver of the design and implementation of CERN's electrical distribution network for the future. Further, you will manage project teams of well-trained electrical engineers and technicians, and provide technical expertise and guidance for large electrical installation or consolidation projects.

University degree or equivalent, preferably with a Ph.D., in Electrical Engineering.

Experience and competencies

* 5-7 years' demonstrated, recent experience in the design, management and monitoring of high-voltage and low-voltage power networks for a large industrial site and in the operation and maintenance of power networks.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical distribution networks, their automatic reconfiguration following faults with particular attention to the quality of the network affecting the operation of the accelerator through perturbations on accelerator components;
* Excellent knowledge of the components of high and low voltage electrical networks (e.g. switchgear, transformers, UPS, diesel generators, cables, etc.);
* Knowledge of international standards IEC, electrical safety rules;
* Strong project management skills, including team management, financial management, work planning and priority setting.
