Directly related to the Vice President, you are responsible for equipment engineering, facilities maintenance, and equipment maintenance, ensuring the safety and reliability of the equipment (300 machines of public works)

Your main tasks are :

-Manage employees to optimize productivity, support good manufacturing practices, including the proper use of tools and equipment. Promotes training and development to minimize turnover and ensure a reliable and agile workforce.

-Provide Supervision and leadership in the department.

-Supervise and provide guidance to staff and prioritizes work to ensure that work is completely safely, timely and using proper procedures.

-Work with the procurement staff (Material Control) to efficiently acquire equipment and vehicle spare parts.

Manage Department inventory and ensures availability of necessary supplies parts and equipment.

You have a bachelor or college degree in the field of Mechanics or Electro-Mechanic, with fifteen (15) years of experience working with the rebuild of Heavy Equipment, Supervising a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Shop.

Then you have an experience in budgetary planning and execution, with knowledge of the principles, concept and practices to perform assignments concerning equipment and facilities.

Providing facility or equipment repairs, procurement and inventories are plus scored.

You have knowledge in safety regulations impacting the worked performed, and the ability to forecast usage rates, establish initial repair and replacement cost factors.

PC literacy – Communication skills in spoken and written English or French performed (French is plus scored)
