The regional controller supports the Regional Leader and local Controllership teams with all aspects of controllership within the region. This role can be based in any of our GBS Financial Services centres in South Europe (Milan, Madrid, Lisbon or Paris).
Essential Responsibilities
Ensure all management information is produced timely and accurately, including the reconciliation of accounts in accordance with GE standards, appropriate internal controls, clearance of Internal Audit, External Audit, CAS findings. Drive and support controllership initiatives within the region, liaising with the regional leader / HQ controllership function as appropriate. Act as the point of contact for all controllership issues relating to the region and liaise with internal and external parties as required (CAS, KPMG, HQ etc.). Support each country controllership team on issue resolutions. Anticipate, assess and manage the impact of any emerging regulatory, taxation or accounting changes in this dynamic region and ensure all controllership and compliance related risks are addressed on behalf of GE. Within the region, is responsible for:·
- Month/Quarter/Annual closings
- financial reporting under US GAAPS, local GAAPs, Statutory and tax filings
- Driving centralization and consolidation of financial reporting under US GAAPs
- Driving standardization of closing processes and common system implementations
- Taking responsibility for fixing controllership & accounting issues and overall responsibility over quality of financial reporting - including account reconciliation - Driving internal controls, and closer of any IA/CAS/KPMG Sch II’s - Ensuring all documentation is compliant with local legislation & GE internal requirements.

| Requisitos: |
- Formal Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA)
- High level financial management experience in a multinational organisation (controller or finance manager)·
-Minimum 4 years Big 4 experience, Minimum 4 years operational finance experience in a business as a controller or finance manager or equivalent
- Ability to challenge processes and implement improved working methods
- Strong analytic skills: able to link financial results to operational performance drivers generate alternatives and drive positive change
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and to meet strict deadlines under pressure
- Strong influencing skills across business functions
- Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and multi task
- Ability to lead in a team environment and succeed in a matrixes environment
- Self-starter, results oriented
