Your roles will include supporting the company s R&D on security technologies and more specifically in Aviation security. Aviation security R&D is understood as the effort aimed at exploring and maturing technologies to protect aviation assets from threats derived from crime, terrorism, and malicious actions. It includes Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) Security, Airports Security, and Aircraft security. This position focuses on technologies for CNS Security.

You will be part of a multinational team to research in these specific areas. You will work with security researchers, aerospace and software engineers on threat assessment and on technologies aimed at the protection of the air transport system.

This job requires experience and hands-on knowledge of security research, including threat assessment methodologies and security technologies to protect aviation assets. Knowledge of the air transport CNS system is a must.

This job may be level E3 or E4 and will determined by the level of experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, in relation to the scope and responsibility of the position.

You should be to demonstrate the following competencies:

• Experience in R&D projects of the EU Framework Programmes is a plus
• Experience in threat assessment and risk management is a plus. Fluency in English German, Spanish and other European languages are a strong plus
• Fluency in English German, Spanish and other European languages are a strong plus Good communication, presentation and technical writing skills is a must.
• Knowledge of telecommunication systems and data exchange for air transport is a must.
• Research Engineer - Scientist with strong background and knowledge of Air Traffic Management system and security technologies related to the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) system.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

Typical Education/Experience:
Degree in Engineering (e.g. Aeronautical, Telecommunication, and Information Technologies) is desired. Masters or post-graduate studies will be a plus. 10+ years experience.
