Our client is a fast growing and successful online travel company based in central Barcelona with offices in Berlin.

As a Senior LAMP Developer you will join a specialised team of software engineers spread across Europe, focused on improving and expanding the application and data tiers of the company's platform.

Your main responsibilities:

-Work on business-critical components of the company's platform
-Deliver fast, scalable and always available services to the rest of the business, and external partners
-As a member of a small and highly focused team you will often be in the thick of design and problem solving discussions

Requirements
We are looking for a person with the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Experience

-4 to 10 years of experience in PHP web development
-Proven track record as a senior developer in high volume or critical production environments

Skills

-Fluent in English
-Technical competence in object-orientated PHP is essential
-Good level of SQL query writing to MySQL
-Good practical knowledge in implementing Web Services with XML, XSD and JSON
-Good understanding of the challenges of building scalable web applications is a strong plus
