Funciones:

The Industrial Services Operations Manager (Europe & Africa) will manage Industrial Services operations from proposal generation (ITO) to customer acceptance (OTR) reporting to the region P&L Service Director and working with the Global Product Line Leaders and region Service and Shop Managers.

Essential Responsibilities:

Senior Operations manager is accountable for growing and maintaining repeatable and reliable service operations, through best in class performance in EHS, Customer Quality, On-time execution, Cost and Productivity and Supply Chain development for the Industrial Services Hydro business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role He/She will integrate and develop processes and systems that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

• Be responsible for service operations on self implementation projects including site management, technical advisory services, and construction/commissioning execution on multiple extended scope projects including the proposal phase through final acceptance

• Develop execution strategies including repair shop and subcontracting structure and lead the subcontracting process, pre-qualifications, and negotiations

• Develop construction plans and required cycles / sequences

• Support customer tender documents submittals and required responses to customers

• Develop resource estimates for the site staff and assign site teams based on project requirements

• Support ITO (Inquiry to Order) on installation labor and equipment estimates

• Monitor operational performance in all areas including cost, schedule, technical advisory services, EHS and quality

• Identify performance issues and provide the leadership to resolve issues and ensure the project success

• Use lean and digitization tools to drive optimum process discipline across all project sites

• Implement lessons learn from Operations (ITR)

• Support the weekly Operations calls

• Support the Region Project Reviews

• Reviews of project daily reports, issues and progress

• Support ITO with project walks and support for estimating process

• Foster a team environment to facilitate success

• Reduce overall project cost through process change and cost out opportunities

• Utilize Six Sigma, process discipline and digitization tools to optimize site performance

• Support implementation of all global field operation processes

• Drive lean / Six Sigma installation initiatives within Region

• Drive COQ (Cost of Quality) reduction Process and documentation within Region

• Support implementation of EHS and company best practices to reduce risk

• Drive excellence in schedule, cost, quality Utilize Six Sigma, process discipline and digitization tools to optimize

Requisitos:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college university

• Minimum of 3 years of experience across electrical, mechanical and transformer specialist roles

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial services market providing technical guidance, instruction and sales support in Industrial Services (ie Hydro, Motor & Generator, Transformer)

• Strong Project Management skills

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization

• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time

• Customer Centric / Quality mindset

• Extensive knowledge of Hydro and M&G operations / construction and testing

• Excellent communication, organizational and integration/leadership skills

• Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external customers

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Six Sigma Green Belt Certified

Desired Characteristics:

• Master’s degree in business management (MBA)

• GE Service Center operations experience

• Experienced in directing craft labor on customer sites

• Lean Manufacturing experience

• Project Management experience related to Hydro Generator Equipment

• A strong internal candidate has been identified for this position; however, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
