Our Team
Within the European Projects division, you will lead cross divisional European vehicle and vehicle related project development and planning within Toyota Motor Europe and European Manufacturing Companies, in order to assure that European vehicles will be competitive in the European market whilst internal severe project targets with respect to profitability, mass, quality (durability, reliability) and timing are met.
Your Challenge
1. Leading project management within R&D ensuring successful product development and production preparation
Lead and control R&D development activities on vehicle project base and report status to all relevant divisions in TME/TMC (Toyota Motor Corporation Japan Initiate and lead corrective action in case concern is raised in any aspect that jeopardizes project targets
Urge for constant Vehicle Evaluation, quality and performance improvement.
Control cost and mass targets
Particpate/coordinate prototype and production assembly and evaluation trails.
Organise project hand over activities Overlook other divisions project management activities and coach and support them to implement provements if necessary
2. Lead & organise European Voice for vehicle planning or new technologies within TME
Schedule European planning activities in line with the total development schedule
Gather and judge participants individual proposals for all vehicle aspects
Get consensus within working group on total vehicle planning proposal
Translate market and technical proposals to financial consequences
Summarise, advise and report the outcome to TMC planning division and TME top management
3. Manage European Project Job Request budget within R&D
Judge consolidated R&D budget plans for European projects and lead negotiation with relevant divisions in TMEM and TMC to get consensus on total budget per JR
Regular reporting on actual expense status throughout project duration and take corrective action when necessary.

Your Assets
Education and/or Experience:
Civil or Industrial Engineering degree in automotive, mechanical or electrical engineering. Design and project co-ordination/management experience of complex parts/systems.
Experience to lead cross divisional project teams
Technical Skills:
Organizer, innovator, communicator, team leader, project manager, good verbal and written reporter. Problem finding, analyzing and solving skills. Understanding of total vehicle technology and performance Motivation, coaching/supporting skills .MS office PC skills
Languages:
English fluent; French/Dutch/German basic; Japanese appreciated.
