ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE NORTH OF SPAIN - APPLIANCES & COOKWARE

Position Title: ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE NORTH OF SPAIN - APPLIANCES & COOKWARE 
 Reports to: KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER 
 Location: MADRID 
   
 Job Summary: 
 Responsible for the sales of the Oster, Bionaire, FoodSaver, CrockPot and Breville products to key retail accounts in Spain, this role plays an important role with coordination and execution of channel programmes, ensuring excellent volumes forecasting, pricing and promotions. The Account Representative analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of Newell Brands products to fill such requirements. The role participates in the preparation of account plans and campaigns, business plans and product development plans, conducting sales presentations with the Key Account Manager.The role will have responsibility for the most important stores within key retailers to provide POS training to vendors and POS materials implementation and supervision, as well as ensuring retailers returns follow the right process 
   
 Job Duties: 
 • Achieve product introductions, sales and gross margin objectives and customer profitability for assigned accounts 
 • Provide excellent forecasting and customer planning 
 • Develop annual business plans for retail accounts in assigned market incorporating: 
 - Measurable and time specific objectives, strategies and tactics 
 - Resource requirements 
 - Trade Terms & Conditions 
 - Customer product portfolio 
 - Sell in, Sell out 
 - Promotional activities 
 - Forecasting 
 - Profitability 
 • Maintain the daily business process flow by persistent focus on in-stocks, promotional sell-throughs, shipping issues, forecasting and POP promotional activities. 
 • Maintain regular business updates with each buyer in accordance with customer expectations. 
 • Prepare promotional opportunities to meet or exceed prior item promotions. 
 • Execute new product introductions as well as grow the promotional business. 
 • Analyze figures based on sell in and sell out figures, product and promotional activities performance 
 • Work with marketing and operations teams to develop product forecast for key retail accounts, support supply chain management requirements and product forecasting 
 • Negotiate with the customer annual agreements 
 • Responsible for POS management of key retailers’ stores 
  

QUALIFICATIONS 
 • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent direct selling experience. 
 • 1+ years Sales management experience including sales administration, negotiation, account/business planning and forecasting and working with trade marketing and supply chain 
 • Good working knowledge of Spanish retail accounts including hypermarkets, department stores, vertical electro chains• Ability to negotiate, persuade and influence 
 • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results, taking initiative and follow through 
 • Thrives in a fast paced environment 
 • Solid planning and organization 
 • Good presentation style, Fluent English 
 • High attention to detail and ability to analyse data 
 • Proficient PC skills including Excel, Word, and Power Point. 
 • 60-75% travel required through Spain
