Funciones

Candidate would be responsible for providing financial and administrative support in the Finance Department. This position interacts with internal and external staff, customers and vendors regarding accounting matters. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours to collaborate with the US corporate office.


Descripción de la oferta

* Responsible for entry and posting of vendor/contractor invoices and employee expense reports received into the company accounting system.
 * Enters approved invoices, check requests and expense reimbursements into the accounts payable module of the accounting system on a timely basis
 * Responsible for maintaining accurate customer data in all systems required

 * Ensure proper customer billing is executed and completed in a timely fashion

 * Maintaining all customer files and cash receipt documents

 * Responsible for processing credit card, check and wire transfers payments received from our customers
 * Ensure all customer credits are properly documented, maintained, and approved in accordance to company policies

 * Responsible for assisting in the completion of deliverables to corporate office with tight deadlines and ensuring accurate information is provided.

 * Assist in prepare close process, Intercompany reconciliations, preparing documentation for internal and external auditors

 * Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
 * Follow company's established accounting processes
 * Prepare journal entries as necessary, reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
 * Assist the Leadership team in establishing and enforcing internal policies and procedures for a more streamlined workflow


Perfil del candidato

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; or a combination of relevant education and experience
 * Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in a similar position

 * Must have the flexibility to handle multiple tasks, while working independently, and step into other accounting roles, to provide coverage while colleagues are out of the office
 * Must be able to analyze the workload and determine priorities while completing assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner
 * Willing to take the lead on accounting projects, or ad hoc reports and to be persistent in the search for solutions when faced obstacles
 * Must be willing to offer suggestions and help improve a process by offering solutions
 * Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures, knowledge of IFRS an asset
 * Experience with Quick Books/Great Plains or other accounting software is required
 * A self-starter, must be able to work and succeed independently as well as be part of a team,
 * Dedicated work ethic and punctuality
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be bilingual in English & Spanish
