Funciones

You will manage the UK & Ireland Balance Sheet agenda and will be responsible for the overall day to day management of the teams falling into the UK&I Accounting & Control finance function. This encompasses the delivery of a robust B/S assurance process, internal stakeholder management and management of the external audit process. In addition, the team leader will be responsible for ensuring that the business unit complies with the Group’s Minimum Control Standards and Internal Audit findings.

Establish and maintain effective procedures and systems for financial management and control in compliance with Dixons Carphone internal requirements.
Establish and maintain effective accounting procedures and systems for the recording of all financial information.
Oversee the period close and year-end procedure, ensuring that all financial transactions are completed accurately and to the required timescale.
Provide monthly accounts to the respective counterparts in business units in accordance with the organisation’s requirements and timetable.

You will report to the Financial Accounting & Reporting Lead and will be responsible for a team of 8 direct reports.

We are looking for experienced Team Leader who shows a high degree of self-motivation and drive with ability to balance several priorities simultaneously and devolving responsibility efficiently.

What will you do? You will:
- review performance of the team against agreed SLAs & KPIs
- attend regular performance review meetings / conference calls with UK counterparts
- chair Period Review meetings & regular Team meetings
- be the Continuous Improvement Champion
- engage in additional projects & system developments as agreed
- complete regular Performance & Development Reviews (PDRs) with each team member & create Personal Development plans (PDP)
- ensure Company controls & procedures are in place to deliver a safe, secure & pleasant working environment
- ensure all the audit requests relevant to the team are submitted on time and provided with the best quality standards.

Requisitos

Now you’re probably wondering what we expect from you? Well…
- you are fluent in English
- have a good knowledge of finance systems, good knowledge of GL, AP and AR processes
- you are an advanced user of Microsoft Office
- you have ability to manage and influence others in a team environment
- you have relevant experience in a finance department in the field at an appropriate level, with sound understanding of controls framework and financial systems.
- you have analytical skills, both organisational and financial.
- you have ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment with a proactive approach
