* The Financial Controller is the leader of the Financial Controlling team

 * Leader and line manager to the Financial Controlling team.

 * Develops strong working relationship with Finance Director and Business Controller and
his/her team.

 * Main 'point of contact' with GV Head of Financial Reporting.

 * Main 'point of contact' for external auditors and all other statutory reporting agencies, for
example tax authorities, government statistical reporting agencies.

 * Ensures the timely completeness and accuracy of all financial reporting, including:All IFRS and statutory book keeping;

 * Compilation of month end accounts for Business Controlling to upload into Emerald
(HFM) system for submission to Group Financial Reporting;
 * Completion of all P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations;
 * Being guardian of accuracy, completeness and control of P&L and Balance Sheet.
 * Ensures completion of tax accounts and timely submission of corporate income tax and VAT
returns to tax authorities, plus GV Group tax reporting.
 * Monitors the effectiveness of financial controls and identifies and resolves any control
issues, while supporting the commitment of the business to improving the internal controls in
line with the GV Minimum Control Standards.
 * Leads on optimizing the efficiency of their team's bookkeeping, accounting and
reconciliation processes.
 * Supports the management of external relationships including with external auditors, tax
authorities local statutory reporting stakeholders.
 * Takes a proactive approach to identifying technical accounting issues; producing accounting
papers for GV Group Financial Reporting and the external auditor to clarify accounting
treatments for situations not covered by the Group Accounting Manual.
 * Develops cash flow forecasts and analysis of changes in balance sheet and working capital.
Provide critical support for the iSynergy (SAP) project in the local business in the
preparation, localization, "go live", post implementation and any enhancement phases.
 * Leads on management of Finance master data (accounts, bank keys, cost centres, etc) in
close cooperation with GV Group teams. In the iSynergy world, the local Finance team will
initiate creation of new accounts, but new accounts are created centrally (probably by Group
Finance).


Perfil del candidato

* University degree (preferably in accounting, business or economics) and accounting qualification
 * 5-8 years work experience, including 3 years of Big 4 Audit experience, plus corporate
 financial accounting and reporting experience (retail or FMCG company experience
 preferred).
 * AdvancedITskillsincludingin: ERPsystems (MicrosoftNavision, SAP), BItools (CognosTM1, Klikview, SAPBI) andHFM.
 * FluentinEnglish (verbal & written) essential.
