Analytics is at the heart of that strategy and the AIB Risk Analytics team is growing to meet the challenge. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals who are keen to join us. We have great opportunities for lead quantitative analysts with experience across credit strategies and automation, risk pricing, portfolio and risk forecasting, default and loss modelling and model validation We seek Senior Developers to support individual model developments within our model development plan. The successful candidate will undertake a responsible role within a team of analysts. He or she will demonstrate commercial acumen in engagements with stakeholders representing and explaining the team’s work.
Minimum requirements: • 2 years’ experience in a model development or model validation role for IRB, IFRS 9, loss forecasting, stress testing or economic capital modelling, or a combination thereof; • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative analytical discipline (2.2 or higher), e.g. mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, econometrics. (Confirmation will be sought if successful for the role.) Successful candidates will be expected to satisfy: • 3+ years’ experience in a credit risk measurement role; • Curiosity and inventiveness; • Demonstrable record in coaching and development of junior staff members; • Managing delivery of smaller development tasks; • Technical knowledge might include: logistic regression, timeseries analysis and/or other prediction techniques, data extraction and manipulation such as SQL or SAS and/or experience of statistical analysis packages such as SAS, R or SPSS; • Knowledge of European regulatory and/or accounting standards in respect of at least one of IRB, IFRS 9, loss forecasting, stress testing and/or economic capital modelling would be advantageous; • Strong ability to document and communicate in written form; • Strong communication skills with a record of effective communication of complex ideas to senior management; • Good problem solving skills with capability to defend their decisions.
