This position provides an exciting opportunity for ambitious candidates that excel in relationship building, in both a B2B and B2C context. More specifically, the Associate Director Careers and Alumni Engagement will work to engage current students and alumni from IE University’s 5 Schools who live in, or have an interest in working in, North America. Additionally, the Associate Director will engage with corporate and institutional stakeholders that have an interest in hiring our graduating students and alumni. Key Action Areas: As part of the International Development team at IE, he/she will act as a key liaison on behalf of Talent & Careers and Global Alumni Relations, in order to enhance alumni satisfaction through tailored services and facilitate opportunities for the alumni to pro-actively get involved as volunteers and advocates of IE to drive school spirit. The role includes, but is not limited to, meeting and building strong relationships with current students and the alumni; sourcing and posting job offers generated from within the network; planning a diverse calendar of dedicated career and alumni activities (off and online) to increase the engagement of the community; and centralizing information from key stakeholders to communicate on an ongoing basis. Lastly and equally important, the role includes ensuring the alumni database is up to date, and that IE is generating volunteer opportunities for alumni to support IE initiatives for admissions activities and other stakeholders. The position, based in IE’s office in New York, will report to Talent & Careers and Global Alumni Relations, at the functional level and to IE North America Headquarters at the operational level. The successful candidate must strive to optimize local and global collaboration and help achieve synergies across IE that positively affect the alumni community.
