Funciones

The International MBA (IMBA) is the institution’s flagship program, ranked 4th in Europe by the Financial Times and 8th worldwide. It is a full-time, one-year program, which can be pursued in either English or Spanish. The program’s key objective is to cultivate leaders and entrepreneurs capable of leading business organizations in competitive and dynamic global environments. It enrolls approximately 700 students per year, in two intakes (September and January), from up to 75 nationalities per intake.

Key Action Areas:

The Associate Director reports to the Executive Director and the Associate Dean of the International MBA Program and will help to supervise a team of six Program Advisors as well as six Program Assistants. In close collaboration with the other Associate Directors, the candidate will help with the daily management of the fulltime program, its continuous improvement and the management of corresponding administrative tasks.

Specific to this Associate Director role is the management of two critical components of the program; the Business Impact Lab and the Impact Project. Both of the projects relate to IE’s objective of providing our students with experiential learning opportunities that, as is indicated in their titles, enable students to make impact from day one in the organization they join post-MBA.

•	Business Impact Lab – One of five options during the Lab Period, which focuses on developing integrative skills and cross-disciplinary management perspectives all while sparking an “intrapreneurial” mindset. During the course of the five weeks, students put into practice what they learn on a challenge that is presented by a corporate client.

•	Impact Project – A final, integrative exercise where groups work with a company, NGO, government body, etc. on a project that puts their MBA toolkit to work towards making meaningful impact.

Requisitos

•	Master’s degree.
•	Fluency (written & oral) in both English and Spanish is a must.
•	Experience in a corporate setting is critical due to the role’s connection with both the Business Impact Lab and Impact Project.
•	International experience and/or working in an international environment is a plus given the diversity in both the student body and the IMBA Team.
•	Ability to assume full ownership of the Business Impact Lab and run it like an entrepreneur.
•	Strong project management skills to provide support on short, medium and long term projects as relates to logistics, event planning, communication, etc.
•	Team player that enjoys working with others in a collaborative environment, demonstrates a pro-active and positive attitude.
•	Customer orientation in order to act as liaison to students, professors, internal and external stakeholders on questions and comments related to the academic program.
•	Problem-solving skills to quickly address concerns, queries and feedback in a constructive and action oriented manner.
•	Ability to multi-task and cope with a fast paced environment that often deals with challenging time constraints.
