We are looking for a talented Business Analyst or Data scientist to help manage our ever growing information & reporting needs and support analysis of an increasingly complex business related to high volume hiring (HVH) across the EU.

You will be responsible for designing, executing, maintaining and improving our reporting and metrics portfolio. You will work closely with a wide range of business professionals across Amazon to leverage our data in ways that provide business insights. Your data driven mindset as Business Analyst will enable you to be a key contributor in our efforts to enhance and drive the strategy in the area of High Volume Hiring. But you won’t stop there. Your role is also responsible for turning marketing campaign data and results into actionable and insightful information, by developing and executing standardized reporting and analysis that will provide clear insights on customer behavior and marketing activities impact on High Volume Hiring.

The successful candidate for this role will be a data enthusiast, a fast learner and an innovative thinker. Additionally, is never satisfied with the status quo, can show success in following-up and getting things done and has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-centric and ever-changing analytics environment.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
  • Standardize and contribute to the continuous improvement of our reporting infrastructure, being responsible for bringing forward new ways to better understand our business.
  • Perform comprehensive analysis to support ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for data analyses
  • Ensure a high quality of information in all reporting and data sources,
  • Drive deep understanding of our marketing campaigns and associated targeted customers: identify, develop, and execute analyses to do so.
  • Drive innovation, such as machine learning replacing reactive with proactive approach to solving business issues.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business or similar
  • Proven experience in an analytical HR, Finance, Project Management, Marketing Controlling or related field
  • You are an Excel magician with a proficiency on quantitative analyses.
  • Decision Making/ Complex Problem Solving- proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources, probes/considers all of the facts, considers other perspectives; conducts root cause analysis; refers to long term plans and goals; prioritizes key factors; acts decisively, promptly and confidently; complex analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and analyzing data from a DWH through SQL queries.
  • Verbal and written fluency in English, other languages a plus



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience using business intelligence/big data tools (SSAS Cubes, Power BI/Quicksight, Cognos, Python, R, etc.)
  • Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling concept and building new DW tables
  • Strong business acumen with proven experience taking business challenges and solving with innovative analytical solutions.
  • Able to drive clarity in the face of ambiguity
  • Understanding a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use
