This is a full time Senior Professional position within the IP and Science business unit of Thomson Reuters supporting ongoing Editorial Content technologies and production systems. This Role can be based In London or Barcelona.
This position requires the following qualifications:
Strong understanding of Pegasus and Sophia editorial systems and workflows
Experience with Pervasive SQL, Linux, Windows, and Netware (5+ years)
Experienced in supporting and troubleshooting applications and related issues. (5+ years)
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Ability to demonstrate creative thinking, advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Ability to coordinate and work effectively with various teams across the world, including the United States, England, Spain , India and other APAC countries.
Flexible and easily adaptable to change.
Ability to multi-task with regular interruptions.
Coordinate the deployments of Sophia, Pegasus and other Editorial Content technology related production releases
Providing direction to existing Pegasus and Sophia technical teams for all production/operations related issues reported and escalated by global editorial teams
Coordinating and collaborating with business stakeholders on various issues and projects.
Assigning priorities, checking, reporting on and maintain all SLA´s for problem resolutions
Partnering and working with data center operation and technology teams on resolving tactical infrastructure issues and completing strategic projects.
Coordination of priorities and projects for technical teams in a 7x24 rotating support operations.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science, related technical degree or equivalent work experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8+ years of IT experience (combined) preferably as a Team Lead systems/software engineer or operational/product management in a dynamic 24x7 environment.


Desired Qualifications:

Experience or knowledge with oracle BPMS (Business Process Management Suite)
Experience or knowledge with windows server in a clustered environment
Experience using HP Service Manager
Experience with LION (Linux,Oracle,Netapp)
Experience using Pervasive SQL (any platform)
Experience with Agile methodologies and/or 6-Sigma process
