We are looking for a Conference & Events Sales manager with previous experience in the role for large hotels. Reporting to the Busines Development Director, the selected candidate will be responsible for: * Executing written sales agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conventions and events and the successful execution of such events in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. * Negotiate terms and pricing of vendor partner agreements and service agreements with companies and organizations affiliated with group business. * Maintain relationships among the customers, their representatives and the hotel to ensure full participation in servicing accounts. * Partner with operations departments. * Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward. * Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly. * Recruit, interview and train team members.
* Demonstrated previous experience in this role * Proven commercial acumen * Ability to demonstrate negotiation and influencing skills * Effective management skills * Ability to manage conflict effectively * Positive attitude and excellent communication skills * Ability to work under pressure * Spanish knowledge is not strictly necessary
