EMEA SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR - HOME FRAGRANCES

The Supply Chain Director will play an integral role in the EMEA region leading the Supply Chain for Home Fragrance. Working pro-actively within the matrix environment to ensure the EMEA region priorities and strategies are incorporated into the overall Global Supply Chain Strategy. This position will oversee and manage all aspects of EMEA operations, including the manufacturing, distribution, transportation and planning organizations. 

Job Duties: 
• Manage Supply Chain Operations for Newell Brands Home Fragrance Division 
• Achieve Safety, Cost, Productivity, Quality, Service and Inventory targets 
• Manage annual budget and capital spend across EMEA Supply Chain 
• Drive supply chain to achieve optimal performance at the lowest cost of ownership 
• Designs/improves the necessary processes, systems, reports, KPI's to achieve targets 
• Interfaces/collaborates/partners with a wide range of business functions, both within and across multiple functional areas to achieve objectives 
• Develop and execute the overall Supply Chain strategy within the EMEA Region, pro-actively building relationships across the matrix organization 
• Liaison with the President & GM EMEA, provide unified leadership and open communication, align the team and deliver on the strategic priorities/initiatives 
• Build trust and confidence levels within and across the organization and demonstrate behaviors that forge and strengthen interpersonal relationships around the globe, creating specific feedback loops with key stakeholders to ensure an open, continuous improvement mindset 
• Drive strategies, methodologies and best practices that ensure excellence in manufacturing & distribution– including process improvements, network optimization and cost of failure reduction


The successful candidate will be an established leader with a proven track record delivering results across the Supply Chain. The successful candidate must have strategic capabilities as well as be hands-on and comfortable with tactical execution. 

Key Qualifications: 
• BS/BA or University degree in Operations or Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline, MBA preferred 
• 7-10 years’ leadership experience managing manufacturing operations and/or supply chain networks, with regional oversight of a facility (or facilities) which support the manufacturing, logistics and warehouse functions. Preferably within a CPG or Specialty products organization. 
• Proven experience within an Operations environment or a manufacturing company, with the responsibilities of production, inventory control, production control and engineering, as well as shipping, receiving, and warehousing. 
• Formal training and experience in the use of Six-Sigma and/or Lean principles and practices, preferably in an environment where these practices were being implemented in an immature QMS environment. Six-Sigma certification a plus. 
• A proven track record of successfully introducing new technologies into the Supply Chain environment with the ability to integrate, lead and manage a broad range of operational functions.
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and demonstrated action-oriented, results-driven approach to quality, and to improve operations and quality metrics. 
• Excellent project management, communication, and people/organizational skills. 
• Ability to collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders 
• Strong strategic skills with ability and vision to map out "future state" business processes 
• Strong leadership skills with a proven record of project management success; project design and execution 
• Ability to motivate teams to produce desired outcomes within tight timeframes 
• Initiative & follow-up, including a strong sense of autonomy
