The purpose of the European CRM Center is to drive more effective and efficient multi-channel CRM communications for our Brand across the main European markets. We will achieve our objective by the use of scientifically targeted and personalised discrete and customer journey campaigns and communications utilising a state of the art digital campaign management infrastructure.

Analytic is the key to segmentation, targeting, personalisation, performance measurement and optimisation across channels and campaigns.


We will be looking to the person taking this role to support a range of analysis and reporting including simple automated reporting, the use of available BI tools to investigate and illustrate data, through to the use of statistical analysis to devise marketing segments and understand CRM communications performance.

The Data Scientist will:

- play a key role in implementing scientifically valid test, learn and communications performance evolution.

- be expected to formulate hypotheses and run pilot programs to test them, then analyse results and present recommendations as to which pilot programs can / should be rolled out across bigger data sets and/ or markets and which ones should not.

- have the ability to use marketing communications analytics tools including industry standards such as Google Analytics and statistical analysis software is required.


Demonstrate clear experience of:

 * Using simple and advanced analytics to improve CRM communications performance through single and multiple channels
 * Purchase funnel stages
 * Automated reporting for different skill levels of marketing users
 * Statistical analysis software, SAS, SPSS or similar 
 * Segmentation analysis 
 * Google analytics and related systems for robust analysis of digital communications 
 * The ability to produce robust performance metrics from single campaigns and over time 
 * The possibility of applying research data to larger data sets 
 * The ability to produce and present reports and presentations to broader audiences - not just CRM peers 
 * Advanced written and spoken English is required for the role 
 * Automotive industry experience would be of interest but not essential

Characteristics: Ability to work to business objectives as well as more specific briefs. Pro-activity in suggesting strategies to meet marketing and business goals for CRM communications and helping to drive improved communications performance. Provide an analytic "partner" for the CRM communication planning function. Work as an enthusiastic member of a professional and sociable team.Communicate and work effectively with colleagues in other international offices.
