Funciones

The Finance Manager, Barcelona, Spain reports to the Head of Group Accounting & Tax to support and facilitate the finance team operations locally in Spain.

You will have ownership of finance operations within Spain and will work to support the group finance function through the maintenance and control of efficient, accurate and compliant records, in a paperless setting.

You will effectively business partner with the wider finance team and key stakeholders to deliver timely financial insights and ensure adherence to reporting obligations.

You will engage and contribute as we evaluate and innovate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our finance systems.

This is very much a hands-on operational role, working within a lean, value adding finance team. The role requires accuracy, timely delivery and communication and lots of enthusiasm!

Requisitos

What you need to be successful

You have a successful track record operating as Finance Manager supported by a small team.
You are AAT or similar qualified or with a demonstrably similar level of technical knowledge.
You have a strong knowledge of local Spanish GAAP, IFRS including revenue recognition, long term contracts and capitalisations
You have a practical understanding of grant, IVA, corporation tax and payroll compliance and administration locally in Spain, dealing with multiple currencies
You possess strong IT Skills
You can demonstrate the ability to innovate and automate within the parameters of your role
You are a multi-tasker, able to organise your workflows and communicate within the team to prioritise and deliver.
You have a proven capability working within an international innovative start up with significant growth plans.
