Funciones

- Under limited supervision, this high-profile role will manage banking, risk management, cash management, and cash forecasting activities for the company.  The role is also responsible for domestic and international credit, collection and accounts receivable portfolio and all activities relating to it.
- This position is immediately responsible for the accounting practices, fiscal records, maintenance and the preparation of financial reports and reporting systems for local legal entity.  Directs and has supervisory responsibility for general and property accounting.
- Other activities may include financial analysis, budget system management and local tax coordination.
- Control and signature of all invoices received.
- All payments authorization within the limits of power of attorney.
- Verify all tax requirements: payments, monthly declarations, annual liquidation.
- Reviews the month-end close process results and ensures all financial reporting to Corporate is timely and accurate.
- Periodically reviews account reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts and ensures adequacy of all required reserves.
- Prepares financial analysis as requested from Corporate Group for key business decisions.
- Prepares special financial/statistical reports in a timely manner and analyzes as required to generate information that can be used by management for decision making.
- Follow up the annual budget and five year strategic planning processes.
- Evaluates the adequacy of the existing systems, processes and procedures, identifies areas for improvement and implements changes. 
- Supervises the activity of the Senior Accountant Lead on monthly and quarterly closings
- Supervises the activity of the Credit Controller on monthly closings.
- Management on all warehouse movements, purchases of products, transport to clients, supervising logistic responsible.
- Oversee of accountant payable invoices activity.
- In summary, supervises the activity of the Finance & Accounting team in Spain, providing appropriate feedback and coaching on performance to insure development.
- Follow up on tax assets and tax liabilities.
- Establish, develop and manage banking relationships.
- Ensures support for external audit activities is provided to the auditors.
- Ensures maintenance of internal controls through appropriate review and internal audit activities.

Requisitos

- Bachelor´s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.  MBA preferred.
- 10 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in the medico/al device industry.
Knowledge of healthcare competitive local environment.
- Financial and accounting skills, abilities and knowledge.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience on Group Accounting principles N-100.
- Thorough understanding of the financial reporting of IFRS requirements /US GAAP.
- Experience with or working knowledge of complex accounting systems like a SAP (ERP systems preferred).
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and other business software tools required for professional financial analysis and communication.
- Oral and written communication skills at multiple levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative and lead process improvement development.
- Responsibility and confidence of company to make economic transactions.
- Ability to develop a consensus, provide direction and motivation.
- A high level of English language is needed.
