Important retail multinational company is looking for an FP&A Manager based in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have minimum 3-5 years working as a Business Controller/ Sales Controller/ FP&A in a multinational company. Experience in FMCG and/ or retail companies preferred. Very high English level is a must. Description This position is a pivotal member of the Iberia Finance team and helps provide proactive and strategic insights and analysis on sales to help grow the business. The FP&A Manager will work closely with the Marketing Team as well as the leadership team. Relationship with franchisees and Aggregators are key as part of this role comprises ownership of the Delivery project. Reporting to the CFO, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following functions: * Overview of periodic reporting to the headquarters (P&L Forecast and ongoing analysis): - Annual Strategic Plan. - Quarterly forecast update. - 3 Year Market Growth Plan. - Weekly & monthly sales reporting. * Provide the Marketing and Leadership Team with strategic and tactical leadership with data driven insights leading to actionable recommendations. Topics include: - Provide recommendations on product pricing. - Advise on building promotional marketing calendar and analysis of performance. - Menu architecture to maximize sales and (gross) margins. - Guest check analysis. * Responsible for on-going sales reporting and analysis with clear and actionable variance analysis including sales driver analysis (e.g. day-part analysis, menu mix analysis, etc.). * Strategic and Commercial lead on the delivery project: - Cross-functional project management. - Key contact person for the relationship with Aggregators and Franchisees. - Ownership of all the financial model for Delivery project. * Proactive management of short-term financial/ commercial targets/ issues, while not compromising on long-term growth targets. * Problem solving and analysis on all sales related questions, including variance and trend analysis. * Constructive recommendations to convince stakeholders on marketing, investments, and business cases that provide financial support. * Provide recommendations to Marketing, Finance and Leadership Team on actions needed to drive sales and improve (gross) margins. * Leadership on innovation to continually improve business model (e.g. delivery, asset formats, etc). * Continual improvement of sales reporting and sales optimization as well as use of BI tool. * Coaching, mentoring and development a team of 2 people. Profile * Bachelor/ Masters degree in relevant studies, e.g. Finance & Accounting. * Minimum of 7-10 years relevant working experience, with at least 3-5 years working as a Business Controller/ Sales Controller/ FP&A in a multinational company. * Experience in FMCG and/or retail companies preferred. * Prefers experience working in a marketing driven organization. * Very high English level is a must. * Native or very high Spanish level. Portuguese is a plus. * Strategic leadership experience (direct reports and cross functional management experience). * Knowledge BI Applications (preference for Oracle BICS) / Office 365. Competences * Proactive self-starter with demonstrated ability to provide actionable recommendations and drive change. * Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities. * Demonstrates the ability to be the commercial agitator and challenge current ideas & processes. * Outstanding analytical skills with ability to problem solve on tactical and strategic levels, reach sound conclusions, and take appropriate actions in an autonomous and proactive manner. * Demonstrates the ability to be the commercial agitator and challenge current ideas & processes. * Keen focus on both the detail and big picture, along with strong issue-framing skills.
