GL Accountant/Team Leader (Maternity Leave) Madrid

SSC located in the East of Madrid is looking for a GL Accountant or GL Team Leader to cover a maternity leave


Description

The chosen candidate will be responsible of the following tasks:

 * Coordinate/lead the GL Protein team making sure all tasks are covered and communication & teamwork spirit is existing within the team.
 * Coordinate/support/lead daily operations of the General Ledger area: General Accounting, US GAAP Reporting, Accounts Reconciliation and analysis, Projects.
 * Month/Quarter/Year End closing tasks: US GAAP Reporting in HFM, Consolidation, Intercompany, Accruals, Prepaid, Taxes.
 * Analyze General Ledger services provided to all European Protein business units and lead the review, evaluation, standardization and continuous improvement initiatives execution for guaranteeing best quality and accuracy under a Service Level Agreement framework.

 * Guaranteeing all general ledger transactions are performed under a strong internal controls framework.

 * Lead/Coordinate audits (external/internal) for Protein EMEA businesses (different legal entities across Europe).


Profile

The chosen candidate should have the following requirements:

 * Studies related to Finance or Accounting
 * 4-5 year experience in General Accounting & Accounting in multinational company OR 1-2 year experience as Team Coordinator
 * SSC experience is a plus
 * Knowledge of ERP solutions
 * Strong PC skills
 * High level of English is a must
 * Another EU language is a plus
