Real Estate company is looking for a Head of Controlling in his Madrid Headquarters. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 - 8 years working as a Financial Controller in a multinational company and prior background at a BIG4 accountancy firm. Experience in Real Estate Sector is very desirable, albeit not required. Very high level of English is a must.

The role is based in the the Madrid Headquarters, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

 * Managing the strategic project to set up the finance function; its systems, processes and controls (accounting, reporting, tax, invoicing, payments, treasury activities)
 * Accountable for the delivery of the annual financial plan (budget, forecasts, etc)
 * Daily maintenance of general ledger (later outsourced to third party)
 * Design and implementation of tools to manage and control business finances (e.g finance modelling and creating dashboards
 * Regular internal and external financial reporting in a challenging environment involving multiple levels of reporting from different sources and to different stakeholders
 * Domestic/ international tax compliance and reporting
 * Treasury function including invoicing, collections and payments
 * Annual preparation of financial statements
 * Annual financial audit
 * KPIs of the business to regularly report performance
 * Partnering between the finance function and operation of the business to ensure alignment
 * Follow with company lawyer and group legal issues and risks.
 * Review company contracts from a finance point of view
 * Will eventually manage direct reports, as the company is built out in the coming quarters


Perfil del candidato

* Relevant degree education and post graduate qualification.
 * Fluent in English and Spanish.
 * Proficiency using Office (Excel), and financial reporting tools (Hyperion etc)
 * The ideal candidate will have at least 6 - 8 years working as a Head of Controlling in a multinational company and prior background at a BIG4 accountancy firm
 * Technical knowledge of accounting and Spanish GAAP is a must
 * Prior controlling, reporting experience is a must
 * Experience in Real Estate Sector is very desirable, albeit not required
 * Good knowledge of international financial reporting, taxation and budgetary controls.
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
 * Good presentation skills; verbal and visual.
 * Proactive approach.
 * Planning and organizing
