Funciones

The Center for the Governance of Change (CGC) is an applied-research, educational and impact-oriented institution that seeks to help governments and enterprises to navigate innovation and deal with the challenges that they often bring. The ultimate goal of the CGC is to help build a more prosperous and sustainable society for all. The CGC is based at IE University (IEU), one of the leading private universities in Europe.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Operations that will help us to scale-up the CGC and oversee its daily operations. His/her main role will be to support the Directors, provide vision and new ideas, and augment the efficiency of the CGC’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.
 
The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various processes, a strong entrepreneurial mind-set, and in-depth knowledge of the research realm, especially in the spaces of innovation, policy and technology.

Responsibilities:
•Liaise with the leadership of the CGC to make decisions on strategy implementation and activity execution.
•Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the CGC. 
•Assist and report to the CGC’s Executive Director.
•Support the development of research and training programs by identifying the right scholars and lecturers.
•Evaluate regularly the efficiency of the CGC procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
•Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation.
•Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction.
•Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
•Ensure that the CGC runs in conformity with established regulations.
•Coordinate staff from different IE departments that provide services to the CGC (communications, marketing etc).
•Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
•Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.

Requisitos

•Master´s Degree from a top University.
•English and Spanish fluency.
•Proven relevant experience.
•Entrepreneurial spirit.
•Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
•Outstanding communication and social skills.
•In depth knowledge of the research realm, especially in the spaces of innovation, policy and technology.
•Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
