Funciones

This office services the following jurisdiction: Catalonia, Aragon, Comunidad Valenciana, Murcia, Islas Baleares, Andorra.  Though most of the work will be performed in this area, you might be asked to travel to other destinations in Spain and occasionally even outside of the country.

Your principal tasks are:  

•	To keep yourself informed of economic trends in the jurisdiction.
•	To monitor and recognize market signals and needs and to convert these into business opportunities for Flemish companies.
•	To detect opportunities in the market and to report these to headquarters.
•	To query FIT’s client companies in order to help them identify opportunities. 
•	To gather general as well as specific information for Flemish companies that want to export to the region.
•	To encourage Flemish companies to capitalize on economic opportunities.
•	To assist Flemish companies in their entry into the Spanish market.
•	To collect information with regard to regulatory issues.
•	To conduct general as well as in depth market research.
•	To consult with regards to subsidy requests.
•	To assist in preparing events such as conferences, seminars or hosting visitors to Flanders.
•	To provide input for FIT’s annual action program.
•	To identify investment leads and coordinate their follow-up with FIT’s Invest department in Brussels.
•	To follow-up the investment leads in the field.
•	To field miscellaneous request for information from the main office.
•	To coordinate and consult with the Belgian diplomatic officers, federal as well as regional, in the jurisdiction.
•	To network in order to collect business intelligence and to contribute to the visibility of FIT.
•	To get to know partners to whom FIT clients can be referred for topics that do not belong to our core business.
•	To manage the office in all of its aspects: administration, budgets, accounting and human resources. 
•	To report on the above tasks to management.

Requisitos

Your profile meets the following criteria:
You have…

•	A Masters diploma, or at least 3 years of experience working for FIT.
•	At least 4 years of international sales and marketing experience .
•	A thorough understanding of what Flanders Investment & Trade does.
•	A good knowledge of the various organizations (Flemish and other) that promote international business. 
•	Basic knowledge of standard business IT tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, Internet applications….;
•	Experience in the use of social media;
•	A customer friendly attitude and you enjoy frequent social contact. 
•	The ability to manage a team and you are a self-starter.
•	An outstanding work ethic.

You are fluent in the local language and a have good knowledge of English or French.  You have knowledge of Dutch or are willing to learn it within 2 years.
