Are you experienced in ensuring the cost of sales are correct in the profit and loss account? If you also speak English at an advanced level this could be your next job opportunity! Our client is a well-known company providing industrial gases for the manufacturing sector. From food packaging to eco-buses, their gases improve everything from the quality of our food to the air we breathe. The company has offices all over the world, and in Barcelona, they have a shared service center with over 300 employees from all four corners of the globe spread across three departments: Customer Support, Supplier Service, and Liquid Bulk:Logistics. Main Responsibilities: As a Manufacturing Cost Accountant, your responsibilities include: - Develop cost standards - ensuring products are assigned the correct cost estimates - Execute ongoing daily costing activities - Liaise with the material master, supply chain, and Production Planning team to ensure correct material master data set up - Reconcile balance sheet accounts for inventory, and accrued utilities (monthly/quarterly) - Monthly P&L review of the cost of sales line - Review and understand monthly production plant spending - Calculate and post monthly accruals for missing costs - Provide regular support to the Business Decision Support team and assist with the analysis of the monthly results - Collaborate with cross-functional and departmental teams in the finance organization to resolve issues and improve processes - Identify continuous improvement opportunities in all areas of responsibilities - Demonstrate continuing knowledge of applicable finance standards and US GAAP
Key Languages: - Advanced level of English - Any other European language is a plus Core Skills / Experience: - Minimum of 2-3 years Management or Finance Accounting experience - Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar) - Demonstrate knowledge of the cost of sales, materials and production costs - Ability to plan and prioritize own work schedule to meet deadlines - Willingness to work in a team environment - Strong communication skills - Good Interpersonal Skills - Strong SAP (FI and CO modules) and Excel skills - Strong problem-solving and process focus skills
