- Working with the Senior Marketing Manager (direct report) in supporting local operation, successfully develop and implement marketing, communication and product enhancement /development plans to maximize transaction volumes and opportunities across Spain, Portugal and Cape Verde. Marketing support to other countries in Southern Europe region may be required.
- Measure all initiatives and report results on a monthly basis.
- Gather secondary data and co-ordinate with central support function (finance, global servicing) to have relevant data to proper execute and design marketing plans. Analyse relevant competitor strategies & price, product and service offerings, document and assess, share findings with possible solutions, considering impact of recommendations on P&L, Agents and customers.
- Design and execute profitable corridor marketing strategies to work in synergy with send markets and aligned to the marketplace. Implement ongoing tactical campaigns to drive increases in transaction volume and market share with proper media support and in coordination with sales activities.
- Define and implement a marketing control process to ensure brand consistency and integrity is maintained and all global guidelines correctly applied within managed territories. Conduct all pre-work, create appropriate templates/manuals, and roll out of suppliers, agents etc. Ensure on going effectiveness of control process through regular communication with users, providing training and guidance. Review and amend control process.
- Develop, with the help of Marketing Manager, an "Agent Marketing Plan" template (pre-launch, launch and running annual campaigns) for all new Agents to complete (and all existing Agents to update annually). 
- Template must allow for costs, quality control, timelines and constraints to be documented by each Agent. Ensure content feeds into the Annual Marketing Plan.
- Manage marketing efforts post-campaign; proactively contribute feedback to the Senior Marketing Manager. Continually monitor marketing performance considering changes within the marketplace; to ensure transaction volume targets are met.
- Build and maintain relationships with the Marketing team of all Agents in the respective countries at relevant level. Ensure regular communication through the use of telephone, email, newsletters and conferences.
- Support in managing the local marketing budget, and supplier relationships to ensure cost effectiveness and quality of output. Support management, implementation and measuring agent marketing budgets and invoicing. Gain approval from Regional Marketing on all expenses and sign off of all campaigns.
- Where contractual budgets from agents are to be spent at national level (brand promotion) and not only at agent level (specific network promotion), make sure such contractual budgets are included in country campaigns and communications activities. Secure and track ROI on each marketing initiative.
- Liaise with MoneyGram global marketing teams as necessary to ensure consistency of style and approach. Ensure the timely production and distribution of various marketing materials in appropriate languages, including promotional products/gifts.
- Organize and participate in relevant exhibitions, fairs and other community events throughout the year. Conduct /manage 'mystery shopper' campaigns and other initiatives.


- Proven track record in marketing management, with at least 3 years relevant experience, with at least 1 year experience in consumer focus companies and 2 at similar level to this post.
- Previous experience within retail, financial or insurance industry would be highly advantageous. 
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level, to include implementation and budgetary management on a nationwide level. 
- A recognized marketing diploma if marketing has not been included as part of a degree level qualification.
- Excellent English, Spanish and Portuguese both oral and written is essential.
- Computer literate - advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Able to use and build spreadsheets/basic financial models.
- First class verbal and written communication skills - strong presentational skills.
- Excellent organizational skills - proven experience of managing multiple priorities on a regional and/or national basis, in a pressurized environment. Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Proactive and solutions-driven, takes action to achieve business goals beyond what is required.
- A flexible approach to work especially when travel or long hours of work are required.
- Able to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
