Funciones

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who will accurately report and process Spanish payrolls. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with outsourced vendors (ADP) and Business Partners to ensure employees are being paid accurately and timely, aligning with local laws. This person will be part of the Finance team, and work very closely with the Human Resources team. The HomeAway team in Madrid we are very multicultural, so this role will need to work well with different nationalities, so English is our main official language.

- You will be in charge of processing the monthly payroll timely and accurately for 160-200 employees in a context of semi-externalized Payroll with the External payroll provider;
- You will resolving payroll, report and reconcile issues (resolving discrepancies with payroll and/or benefits information and/or documentation to ensure accuracy of records and employee payments);
- You will efficiently handle workflow, reporting and verification processes to ensure all payroll transactions are effective and are processed correctly and timely; 
- Compliance and verification of all the legal and financial requirements, and of the administrative process interfaces between HomeAway and 3rd party outsourced payroll processing, would be your responsibility;
- You will compile, calculate, verify and enter data from a variety of sources (e.g. time sheets, contracts, leaves of absences, HR system, etc...);
- You will maintain a wide variety of fiscal information, files and records (e.g. payroll, withholding information, employee records) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail;
- You understand and know very well the local Spanish labor laws and standards;
- You will act as Tier 0 for employees concerning all payroll issues, responding to and assist employees with inquires and questions on time;
- You will partner and interact with HR representatives to ensure appropriate data collection for employee setup with outsourced payroll vendors;
- You would be accountable for seeking innovative ways and improving business process and procedures with partners in different countries through cross-functional collaboration.

Requisitos

Qualifications:
- You are a fluent English AND Spanish speaker;
- You are an expert with Excel;
- You have the ability to own and complete complex and sensitive projects;
- You are detailed, organized, dynamic and dedicated;
- You are able to work on own initiative, problem solving abilities;
- Deeply level of integrity;
- Deep knowledge/experience of Spanish Payroll Law/Processing; 

Education:
BA Finance or Accounting Degree, or similar;

Knowledge/Skills:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in all payroll related processes in multinational companies based in Spain;
- High knowledge of Spanish Labor Law and Employment tax obligations;
- Experience with payroll systems;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Expertise in Excel
