Funciones

International Company and Leader in the Global market in the production and sale of consumer products, selects for Zaragoza

PLANT MANAGER
Will be responsible for service levels and efficiency improvements for the manufacturing, distribution and logistics activities in the plant, as well as quality, health & safety and environment. He needs to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Together with Market, Finance and HR, he is a key member of the Iberia Management Team, reporting to the Managing Director.
Designing and implementing business operations and budget.
Assists company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives.
Responsible for Health & Safety compliance according to local legislation.
Develops the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan.
Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
Directs and monitors department managers to manufacturing plan, consistent with established procedures accomplish goals of the manufacturing and safety
Acts as a representative of the company in front of the Works Council, dealing with the day to day information and negotiation topics with them.
Hires, trains, develops and evaluates staff.
Ensures compliance with current state and local regulations. Consults with Human Resources Department as appropriate.
Directs the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
Initiates and coordinates major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).
Manage supply chain activities;
Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external, evaluating performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics;
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of local and international organization;
Manage relationships with partners/vendors;
Write and submit reports in all matters of importance

Requisitos

PROFILE
BA/BS in industrial, mechanical, engineering or a 5-year technical degree in related discipline.

5+ years of experience as a Plant/Manufacturing Manager in a process-oriented operations and/or related industry.

3+ years of experience in Inbound-outbound supply chain activities.

A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a significant segment of a large international / multinational

manufacturer.

Knowledge of environmental, safety and quality standards.

Knowledge of environmental and safety risks and requirements.

Lean-6Sigma/Manufacturing education is an advantage.

Knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ERP systems (SAP) will be an advantage.

Fluently speaking and writing in English.

Availability to travel, both nationally and internationally, when required.
