We are currently looking for a Product development Manager for multinational automotive company based in Barcelona.

The Product development Manager reports to the RD Manager and his responsabilities are:

 * Guide all product engineers to guarantee correct project development according to customer requirements and milestones
 * Implement and lead an unified part development criteria in agreement with RD manager: Maintain and update internal development standars as "DVP, DEV, lessons, learns..."
 * In collaboration with the product engineers, support commercial team on quotation phase for any technical question related to product development
 * Support Commercial Department by participating on meetings with customer when required by RD Manager
 * Report and inform RDM for any critical project
 * Lead CAE simulations criteria and standardization: Thermal, Mechanical (stuctural, random, fatigue...) and Acoustics analysis simulation
 * Guarantee (by supervising Product Engineers): Product achieves customer requirements and milestones, product definitions are robust and optimized, DVP fullfil to customer requirements
 * Participate on product FMEA team
 * New materials, components,... research
 * Participate on Innovation Projects as team member or as team leader
 * Participate on RD congress, conferences
 * Balance PE workload in agreement with RD Manager


Perfil del candidato

Required

 * Mechanical Engineering degree is a must
 * 8-10 years of research and develoment experience in automotive sector
 * Strong knowledge on CAE software (Abaqus)
 * Fluent English

Preferred

 * 3-5 years of experience in metal sheet forming in automotive sector
 * knowledge on CATIA v5
 * Fluent German
