Quality and Food Safety Manager
What You will do
As a Quality, Environment and Food Safety Manager you will be responsible for driving and coordinating the Quality Team within our Closures factory in Seville-Spain, to lead and supervise the design and implementation of Quality and Food Safety procedures, improve and maintain the Quality Maintenance System (WCM), with the aim of optimizing our processes and maximizing our customer's satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and improve control plans, in order to ensure compliance with the specifications of the final product and reduce defect waste and claims from customers.
• Manage and solve claims and technical issues, proposing and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Analyse internal claims to avoid repetition.
• Lead the process of quality loss eradication, by constantly implementing and improving the Quality Maintenance system through the Quality Pillar.
• Lead the quality team and advise/influence the other factory departments to improve product and processes quality. Collaborate with AM and PM pillars to transfer quality concepts to be managed by each department in an autonomous way.
• As part of WCM Steering Committee, to participate in the WCM methodology implementation and promotion at all levels
• Lead the Food Safety culture in the plant
• Lead the plant quality system and guarantee the requirements to assure the fulfilment of Quality, Environment and Food Safety regulations, in compliance with current standards ISO-9001, ISO-14001, BRC, FDA…
• Manage the certification organisms and customer audits.
• Advise and cooperate with different areas of the AM Closures organization regarding quality and food safety issues
• Benchmark with the other Closures factories In this position you will be a member of the local Management Team and will be based in Seville. Some travelling is required to manage benchmarking and cross fertilization activities.
Who You are
You need to be fluent in Spanish as well as having a good level of written and spoken English – other languages are a plus. You should have an engineering university degree. Professional Skills and
Experience
• Experience managing a quality department within an industrial environment
• Former experience in a production or maintenance role will be considered a plus
• Lean Manufacturing/6 sigma experience (knowledge of World Class Manufacturing will be considered a plus)
• Specific knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 14000, BRC and FDA standards
• Experience dealing claims internal and externally
• Experience managing teams and working in a multinational environment
