Funciones

To contribute to the profitability and business development of Construction division by ensuring an optimum supply chain from external suppliers and factories to our customers, in terms of quality, costs and stock availability. To define and implement the objectives and strategies of the supply chain of Construction division and for the local companies. Directs and coordinates the purchase procurement teams of Construction division in order to achieve objectives of the local companies

Purchase tasks

 

 * Cooperates with marketing, technical departments and general managers to define the requirements of products portfolios (product performance, technical requirements, prices, packaging, procurement terms, etc.). Coordinates the requirements of different companies to define the optimum product portfolio for Construction division.

 

 

 * Defines the responsibility of purchasing for the different buyers (what buyer takes care of what supplier).

 

 

 * Leads negotiations (directly or through buyers) of product characteristics, prices and supply conditions with the suppliers and factories.

 

 

 * Scouts for new sourcing opportunities for actual products, or any new one requested by the companies.

 

 

 * Follows up main quality issues. Prepares global yearly suppliers' evaluation.

 

 

 * Set up the necessary indicators and monitors their performance to ensure that targets are being met.

 

 

 * Supervises purchase indicators and proposes improvements:

 

 

 * Price changes.

 

 

 * Projects for Cost reductions.

 

 

 * Prepares and implements a yearly plan to improve our competitive position, proposing a plan for cost reductions, and a forecast on price variations, supply delivery conditions, evolution of the competitiveness of our main suppliers and recommendations for the future.

 

Supply Chain and procurement: Logistics are locally driven depending on the needs for each local company. Therefore, his role is more to support, coordinate and fertilize with best practices to the different logistic managers.

 

 * Plans and implements the purchases and procurement processes, in order to optimize our stocks and our service to the customers, at the minimum cost (including purchase cost, packing, handling, transport, reception and stocking). Responsible for the ERP related to the purchase and procurement processes:

 

 

 * Supervises that buyers have the right information in the ERP (updated sales forecast, MOQ, lead times, updated prices, etc.)

 

 

 * Ensures that processes and ERP facilitate the procurement tasks (new orders, work flow at orders, follow up and at receptions)

 

 

 * Ensure adequate information both internally to company departments and to the suppliers.

 

 

 * Plans and decides for the optimum way to get the goods from the suppliers to the "ready stock" in our warehouses:

 

 

 * What products must be sourced from outside suppliers or from company warehouses (optimizing stocks and global costs at company level).

 

 

 * Official and alternative supplier for each product and for every company.

 

 

 * Minimum stock, delivery time needed, and therefore reposition point.

 

 

 * Procurement lot.

 

 

 * Incoterm conditions.

 

 

 * Supervises the performance of the procurement teams. Checks (at his discretion) the orders placed to the suppliers.

 

 

 * Supervises supply chain indicators and proposes improvements:

 

 

 * Quality incidences and corrective actions of external and internal suppliers.

 

 

 * Supplier service level.

 

 

 * Days of stock.

 

 

 * Slow movers.

 

 

 * Coordinates supports and challenges local logistic managers to optimize the service to the customers in terms of stock availability, speed and quality of deliveries, warehouse occupation, costs of l
