We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team! Database Administrator duties and responsibilities - Plan and implement new systems - Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure - Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools - Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability - Provide 2nd and 3rd level support - Manage and deliver root cause assessments for complex technical issues - Use diagnostic tools to determine deficiencies - Interaction with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution - Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks - Suggest new ideas and solutions to problems - Maintain and constantly improve existing systems - Participate in security management - Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices - Attend customer meetings to ensure and understanding of customer requirements and to assist with knowledge transfer - Quality assure deliverables, as required, produced by other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy of data - Successful handover of technology designs and solutions to internal or customer support function - Providing On-Call Out of Hours Support - Document writing / process creation - Updating and Recording of activities in relevant IT Ticket Management System
Pre-Requisites & Experience - Technical skills - Very good understanding and knowledge of networking and application-level operations - Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting: - UNIX / Linux based environments - Suse Enterprise Server 12/15 - Virtualization technologies (VMWare ESX) - Clustering - Server Hardware - Database administration Oracle 12.1/19, PostgreSQL 10. - Microsoft SQL server - Oracle Weblogic , Oracle Forms & reports - IBM WebSphere Server - Experience with monitoring systems & automation software - PKI and Certificate Management - EMC Networker Studies: - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field - Good English Level (mínimum B2) - Certificates: Oracle Database Administrator ITIL Foundation v4 VMWare Certification Experience: - 5 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role Skills: - Able to self-manage - Prioritizing and managing several tasks at a single time - User-focused, analytical, and compelled to solve problem - Working to SLAs and deadlines - Establishing a good working relationship with wider teams and customers alike - Keep up to date with advancements in technology - Critical thinker and problem-solving skills - Good time-management skills - Great interpersonal and communication skills
