Funciones

The Software Applications Consultant is a technical role within Marel Software service.

A person in this role is technically capable and is able to configure the Marel software platform, as well as analyze and fix technical issues. A person in this role is able to review requirements and deliver a Marel Software configuration based on standard solutions for all our three industries: Poultry, Meat and Fish.

As Software Applications Consultant, you will configure and implement the Marel Software food processing solutions (Device and process control) and train the customer key-users (how to use, how to set programs and products, how to visualize the data…). You will also deliver technical services and support to customers.

Marel´s Software: Innova

The Innova system is a market leading Production Control Software package specifically developed and designed to the Food Processing industry. It allows are customers to control the process from receiving through processing to shipping. Since its release in 2008, the package has been taken in to use by 1,500 customers world-wide. The Innova software package is today used by many of the world’s leading food processor.

Main tasks:

- Configuration and deployment of Marel Software in  projects according to standards and documented specification, with focus on software connections of Marel equipment
- Provide user training for customers and internal training for Marel employees
- Assist with in-house activities related to Marel Software projects server pre-builds
- Provide support to technical issues
- Create knowledge base articles both for new configurations and for solving known issues
- Provide delivery of services to customers for running Marel Software systems, including add-ons, modifications, maintenance and upgrades
- Provide services to fulfil scheduled Service Level Agreement tasks

Requisitos

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:                                                

- Excellent computer skills;
- Ability to document and explain technical specification;
- Good people skills and works well within a team;
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems;
- Understanding of principles and processes for providing customer service;
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems on PCs and servers;
- Ability to troubleshoot network problems including TCP/IP, Ethernet, cabling, switches;
- Familiar with remote access-related hardware/software utilities/service products;
- Ability to travel (20%)

Education, Knowledge and Experience

- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
- Previous work experience on device control, machine learning, machine set up
- Knowledge of SQL server
- Fluency in English and Spanish is a must. Italian and /or Portuguese are a plus.
- Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage;
