The System Engineer Backup & Storage will manage all servers, backups, and virtual environments. This is a challenging mission with a global scope, where the role holder will be responsible for Global Infrastructure environment, supporting more than 2000 end-users in our different plants globally.


Description

- Act as the all-round Infrastructure specialist of the ICT Team specialized in:

* Backup management.
* Storage management.

- Become the all-round Infrastructure specialist of the ICT Team specialized in server setup in VmWare and Hyper-V.

- Proactively manage the ongoing support model for the technologies under the scope of responsibility, ensuring that service design is built into proposals.

- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support within the scope of responsibility.

- Create and update manuals and documentation.


Profile

EDUCATION

Education Required:
* Bachelor's degree in IT, technical or similar discipline.

Appreciated:
* Experienced in Industrial and/or Chemical sector.
* Certifications within the scope of responsibility are a plus.

EXPERIENCE

* A 5 years' strong experience in a technical support environment or field experience.
* Strong experience with Windows and O365 cloud backup
* Good knowledge in Administration and support of Microsoft server 2016/2019 systems, Active Directory and GPO.
* Veeam Backup & Replication platforms; good understanding on backup technologies in general.
* Good experience on Vmware, Microsoft Windows server environment, group policy management 
* Barracuda Cloud to Cloud backup
* Good experience with Azure in the Cloud is a plus.
