From the LHH Energy we collaborate with an important hydrocarbon company that is looking for a TRADING OPERATOR 

Reporting to the Trading Manager and working closely with the Middle Office team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of buying, selling and transportation of products, considering the terms of the contractual agreements.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

 - Coordinate and execute transactions for the purchase and sale of crude oil and refined products.
 - Ensure that operations are carried out in accordance with contractual terms and current regulations.
 - Manage the logistics of oil transportation, including coordination with ships, trucks, and pipelines.
 - Oversee the tracking of shipments to ensure timely delivery and optimal conditions.
 - Monitor risks associated with price fluctuations, market volatility, and operational risks.
 - Implement hedging strategies to mitigate these risks.
 - Analyze market trends, including oil prices, supply and demand, and geopolitical factors that may influence the market.
 - Provide reports and recommendations based on these analyses.
 - Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other business partners. Negotiate contract terms and resolve any disputes that may arise.
 - Ensure that all operations comply with local and international regulations. Stay updated on regulatory changes and adapt business practices accordingly.

Requisitos

 - Bachelor´s degree in Engineering with a background in finance
 - Data Analytics studies
 - Advanced English, level test will be performed.
 - Minimum 5 years of experience as an Operator.
 - Experience in a trading department. 
 - Experience in the Oil&Gas industry.
 - Technical expert in risk modeling /developing risk models/ analyzing structured transactions. 
 - Experience in vessel loading operations, interacting with ports, terminals, agents, and cargo inspectors.
 - Experience in optimizing trading strategies using knowledge of product movements and relationships with external parties.
 - Experience working in a dynamic ambient. 
 

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), VBA and/or SQL. 
 - Strong understanding of financial markets, trading instruments, and post-trade processes. 
 - Understanding and implementation of the Risk Management principles (VaR, market volatility monitoring, Hedging strategies, Montecarlo model, etc..). 
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
 - Strong analytical problem solving and data analysis skills, with attention to detail.
 - Effective verbal and written communication skills.
 - Decision maker, driven by objectives, solutions and results.
 - Worked successfully in matrix structure, knows and likes the rules and culture.
 - Resilient and flexible
 - Consistent behaviour even under strong pressure.
