The successful candidate will own, develop, maintain and optimise the User Interfaces of the Page Group's websites managed by the Digital Hub. Great career opportunity for UI Developers in an international and fast growing company located in Barcelona within PageSSC.


Description

Reporting to the Digital Hub Technical Lead and working with the Global Head of Web Products:

 * Maintain and enhance the current set of Drupal Themes for the Websites of Page Group.
 * Translate into CSS the requirements from the Product owners,
 * Contibute to the creative Design of the sites' UI collaborating with and reducing reliance on the design studio
 * Implement designs from Photoshop flats
 * Work with the offshore team to ensure that the HTML/Javascript fully supports the styling requirements
 * Ensure that the themes are aesthetically balanced and functionally effective
 * Optimize the themes for the three key target device types (desktop browsers, tablets and smartphones) ensuring
 * Multilingual and LTR compatibility
 * Review and contribute to the direction of the design and styling of the sites


Profile

* Bachelor degree in Information Technology or alternatively significant (5yrs plus) commercial experience in similar positions
 * 3-5 yrs commercial experience creating and maintaining Drupal Themes
 * Extensive experience with CSS (CSS3 preferable) and CSS frameworks (LESS, SASS)
 * Extensive experience with HTML (HTML5 preferable)
 * Experience with Responsive Design and with adapting stylesheets to support multiple browsers and mobile Operating Systems
 * Experience with Content creation and manipulation in Drupal
 * Experience working on commercial sites and within large teams and with offshore developers
 * Great communication and interpersonal skills, required to work with team members both locally in Barcelona and within multiple international locations
 * Ability to pro-actively identify improvements
 * Passionate about providing a great user experience through cutting edge design
 * Strong attention to detail
 * Experience with Photoshop, Sketch and/or Axure would be advantageous but is not required
